Summer Hols 2024!
It is that time of year again - summertime!
I'm taking a couple of weeks off to get some much needed R&R. This podcast will be back again on August 19th, and I have some excellent episodes lined up for the 19th, and the subsequent weeks, so don't go away!
In the meantime, it is time for me to go work on my tan (not really - blue eyed redheads like me don't tan!), see you back here on the 19th!

Hi everyone. And welcome to episode 29 of the sustainable supply chain podcast. My name is Tom Raftery, and today's episode is going to be a short one. It's just me letting you know that I'm going on vacation for the next two weeks. So for the next few weeks, this week and next week, there are no episodes. As in, this is an episode, but it's just a short announcement episode for me to let you know there will be no episode next week. So the next episode of this podcast will drop on Monday the 19th of August. So in two weeks time, Okay. And that'll be an episode with Darrio Ambrosini from Propel Software. A really interesting episode, watch out for it. You won't want to miss it. And then the week after that, I'd be talking with John Sicard the CEO of Kinaxis who many of you may already know really, really good one as well. And the week after that again, I love Chris Shrope from Model N and the week after that, again, I'll be talking to Cally, Edgrin from Assent about forever chemicals or. PFAS P F A S as they're known, and you know how to identify them, if they're in your supply chains and what to do about it. So starting again on the 19th of August, but for today, Monday, August 5th this is it, for two weeks. And. For next week, Monday the 12th, no episode. And back, as I mentioned on Monday the 19th with the episode. Starting again with Dario Abrosini And of course new episodes every Monday, 7:00 AM CET. After that, again, as normal. During this two weeks, if you are pining for this podcast. Unlikely. I know, but if you're pining for this podcast looking for more content, it's unlikely. You've listened to all 28 previous episodes. So, you know, go back through the back catalog. There are some amazing episodes there. For example, back in January the very first episode I had of the Sustainable Supply Chain podcast. When I switched to the branding. Was with Gautam Jain from go comet. And that was a fascinating episode talking about how they help companies determine the emissions associated with their maritime shipping operations. So if you are having goods shipped to you from southeast Asia, from wherever you can find which shipping company has the lowest emissions far that route. What they're On-time delivery record is like, and what the rough cost of that shipping will be. So you've suddenly got three different filters with which to decide, which is the best route for your goods to take overseas. Other fantastic episodes. There's so many of them there. I loved the one would Ferdie Reynolds, for example. That dropped on the 12th of February talking about the investment space and investors coming in and investing in manufacturing particularly. We talked a lot about industry 4.0 in that episode. The episode I had with Pat McCullough from produce pay, talking about waste in the food space was a great episode as well. JP Stevenson's episode, which went out on the 13th of May talking about Southeast Asia. And how to ensure that the goods that you're getting manufactured in Southeast Asia comply with all the necessary regulations. That was an interesting episode. Nick Brown from Ansell, we talked on the 1st of July, that episode went live. Talking about connected PPE and the sustainability that helps produce in the supply chains. Andrei Danescu from Dexory talking about warehouse scanning robots. So, you know, great for inventory management and great for making warehouses more sustainable as well. Elizabeth Corbett more recently, again, talking about sustainable packaging, And more recently. Barry Bradley. From Crisp. The most recent episode. Talking about using data to help get to net zero. So lots of episodes there. You're unlikely to have heard them all. So do scroll back through the back catalog if you haven't heard them. Take the opportunity now to go back and listen to some of those ones that you may have missed. And as I said, Ah, I've got those four excellent episodes coming up, starting again on the 19th of August. And I have more after that again, obviously.
